Our Kyoto Imperial Matcha is from the noteworthy early-spring harvest of 2009. This connoisseur?s matcha is set apart by its remarkably balanced, smooth flavor.Dry, Kyoto Imperial Matcha has a brilliant spring green color and an intense chlorophyll aroma with some minerality and the sweetness of golden raisin sugar. Whisked, it takes on a deep, bold olive color with gentle green clouds of foam. Its creamy, smooth, sweet aroma carries a light vegetal tone. The dense, full, rounded, intensely thick mouthfeel is balanced by an extremely smooth, delicate flavor that rolls over the tongue as quickly and gently as a satin ribbon over skin.
